'MY WORKSHOP'
----"MAN CAVE"----
Carving does make a mess.
It's certainly not viable to do it where it will undoubtedly upset the good lady, so the conservatory and the utility room were definately off limits.
I started huddled up in the corner of the garage. Big space and cold in the winter months.
Once I had decided that I would continue with the hobby I treated myself to a 'Summer House' to use as my carving workshop.
It is also used as storage for the garden furniture so space is a bit restricted but there is enough room to hide away for several hours at a time in reasonable comfort.
I lined it with insulation and plywood sheeting and fitted it out with some old kitchen wall cupboards with worktop as the bench and some shelving.
An old office chair from a Charity Shop completed the workshop.
Here you can see my two chisel sharpening machines and a small woodturning lathe.
Occasionally I try to create something on it but without a lot of success.
I can't get enthusiastic about using it.
Maybe one day.
And, yes! Thats me in my little hide-away quietly whittling away surrounded by 'man junk' and I love it .
