We also run our own show named
'The Dorset Do'
where numerous local craft people are invited to demonstrate and sell their wares.
This show is now in its 9th year and this year 2016 the carvings display will include exhibits from two other local wood carving clubs.
It was suggested to me that I make some display shelving that would be suitable for showing my own carvings. So I gathered together some board, hinges and hessian and made this shelving unit that can be used with the 5 boards as shown or 4 boards by removing the centre section.
They are designed to flat pack and have their own transportation box on wheels.
I was asked to set up and display all of my own carvings at a 'Hobbies Exhibition'. These display shelves were invaluable as the centre piece and my storage boxes provided the rest of the display stands at each end of the boards. The covers are black silk sheets bought at a Car Boot sale.
